BACKGROUND

 

William Stabb has been based in France full time since 2000.

 

Prior to this he studied a French Literature & Language degree at the University of East Anglia and also obtained a diploma from the Institut Britannique de Paris.

William speaks French fluently and is English mother tongue. He also speaks basic Italian.

 

He has been working for companies in the UK, Switzerland, Italy and France in a variety of capacities over the past 14 years, and is therefore well experienced in overcoming the language, bureaucracy, and cultural differences we all face.

 

As the Director of the Bigfoot Travel agency in Chamonix, William gained invaluable experience in helping English speaking buyers establish themselves in France by advising them on purchase, property management and lettings, and general services subsequently required.

 

This experience led him to formally establish his French consultancy business in Dec 2007, EURL Private Estates, predominately focused on advising and brokering high end real estate transactions.

 

This has secured one of his ongoing contracts with the group Engel & Völkers and their Private Office, based in Mayfair. William acts as a discreet advisor for them for global buyers and sellers, connecting the off and on market properties with the potential buyers. Current ongoing projects range from a private island development in the Turks & Caicos, Caribbean to a Chateau redevelopment project overlooking Lake Geneva.

 

This formula and tailored service mirrors the company drive, and focuses principally on the French market. The company’s goal is to bridge those differences, not only by replacing the void with the language facilities, but also to offer sound advice and a trustworthy and discreet service. All contracts undertaken are handled in total confidentiality.

 

William is a thorough individual who is worth having on your side. He will get the job done today rather than leave it for another day. Far too often in France one is blinded by bureaucratic nonsense, the inability for procedure to be efficiently carried out. The lunch time shutters lowered 10 minutes before midday, randomly closing for the afternoon, hours wasted on trying to speak with France Telecom ….the list goes on as you know.
